The Story Of Unruhly Events

Created by Kristy Unruh, Unruhly Events was an idea born out of a global pandemic where a sense of community and normalcy were stripped away from everyday life. Because of local mandates making in-person dining options no longer available or significantly restricted, this created the perfect storm to fulfill a need for food truck vendors to continue their business and thrive by serving residential communities desperately needing a renewed sense of community and normalcy — Unruhly Events was born!

What started in a single subdivision in the Kansas City Northland has expanded to several residential communities throughout the Kansas City Metro. We go far beyond a simple booking site — we actively promote and market our vendors to the communities we represent through HOAs, social media, custom flyers, and active community engagement. We show up on site and take pictures, get feedback, and continue to promote during the event. We work hard to make sure each event is a success for both the vendor and the community! It is for this reason that both come to us to schedule repeat events. We’re not a booking site, but rather a full-service micro-event planning service.
